Percentages are the arithmetic you actually use: tips, discounts, interest, statistics in the news. This is sudden-death practice — questions come fast, four choices each, and the run ends the moment you miss one. Your score is how far you got.
Play Speed PercentagesHow it works
1A percentage question appears.
2Pick from four choices. 35% = 25% + 10%.
3One wrong answer ends the run. Streak is your score.
How to play
- 1
Read the question
Something like "What is 35% of 80?" appears with four answer choices.
- 2
Pick fast
Choose before the timer runs out. The shortcut is usually decomposition — 35% is 25% plus 10%.
- 3
Keep the streak alive
One wrong answer ends the run. Your score is the length of your streak, up to 20.
What it trains
Compute fast without writing anything down. Fluency with proportions and percentages predicts real-world decision quality better than general numeracy does.

Questions
What's the trick to fast percentages?
Break them into easy pieces. 10% is a decimal shift, 5% is half of that, 25% is a quarter. Almost any percentage is two or three of those added together.
Why does one mistake end the run?
Because it makes the score mean something specific — consistency, not average accuracy. It also makes the last few answers genuinely tense.
What's a good streak?
Ten is respectable. Reaching 20 means every question in the set went your way.
